About ANAND MURUGAN MURTHI
Meet Dr. Anand Murugan Murthi, a board-certified Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialization in shoulder and elbow reconstruction. Dr. Murthi completed his medical education at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and his orthopedic surgery residency at George Washington University School of Medicine. His fellowship in shoulder and elbow reconstruction at New York Orthopaedic Hospital-Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center is internationally recognized. Dr. Murthi is the Chief of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital and serves as section editor for the "Current Orthopaedic Practice" journal. With numerous research papers published and presented at national and international conferences, he is dedicated to sharing his expertise by teaching surgical techniques to physicians across the country. Dr. Murthi is a distinguished member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons Society (ASES) Neer Circle and co-chairman of the Mid-Atlantic Shoulder and Elbow Society.
