About ATHANASIOS G. DOUSMANIS

Meet Dr. Athanasios G. Dousmanis, a highly qualified neurologist affiliated with NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Dousmanis is a member of prestigious medical associations, including the American Academy of Neurology and the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electro-Diagnostic Medicine. He holds a Ph.D. in cell biology from Rockefeller University and an M.D. from Cornell University Medical College. With a background in neurology residency from Columbia University's Neurological Institute at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Dr. Dousmanis brings a wealth of experience to his practice. His clinical interests encompass peripheral nerve and muscle diseases, motor neuron diseases, and nerve injuries. Dr. Dousmanis serves as an attending physician at Lawrence Hospital and New York-Presbyterian Hospital, as well as an assistant clinical professor of neurology at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. In 2005, he joined Neurologic Consultants of Westchester, subsequently becoming a partner in 2008. Dr. Dousmanis continued his medical journey by joining Summit Health (formerly Westmed Medical Group) in October 2010. He is currently welcoming new patients and offering telehealth appointments.
