About BHARAT GUTHIKONDA
Meet Dr. Bharat Guthikonda, a renowned neurosurgeon based in Shreveport, Louisiana. With over 24 years of experience, Dr. Guthikonda is a specialist in skull base research, brain aneurysms, brain tumors, and arteriovenous malformations. He completed his medical education at SUNY Syracuse Upstate Medical University and furthered his training with an internship and residency at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Guthikonda also undertook a skull base fellowship at the University of Cincinnati, the Mayfield Clinic.Highly respected in Northern Louisiana, Dr. Guthikonda has received numerous accolades for his exceptional and patient-focused care. He is a prolific author and presenter, having delivered over 250 presentations internationally and nationally, as well as published more than 100 peer-reviewed book chapters, journal articles, comments, and manuscripts. Furthermore, he actively participates in various hospital, medical school, and professional organization committees.In his roles, Dr. Guthikonda leads as the Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at LSU Health Shreveport. He also serves as the Chair of the Medico-Legal Committee of the Council of State Neurosurgical Societies, a member of the Executive Committee of the Council of State Neurosurgical Societies, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery.
