About CHRISTOPHER GENE KALHORN
Dr. Christopher Gene Kalhorn earned his medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. He completed his neurosurgical training at Baylor College of Medicine under Dr. Robert Grossman, an internationally recognized expert in epilepsy and Functional Neurosurgery. Dr. Christopher is a member of the Board of Directors of MedStar Health. He is an associate professor in the Department of Neurosurgery, co-director of the Movement Disorders Program, and director of MedStar Georgetown's epilepsy and functional neurosurgery program. He has clinical interests in degenerative spine disease, spinal fusion surgery, brain tumors, and lumbar and cervical disk herniations. Dr. Christopher is a board-certified neurosurgeon who focuses on the surgical management of epilepsy and surgery for movement disorders and has more than 19 years of experience with DBS surgical implants. Dr. Christopher Gene Kalhorn conveniently practices in two locations. He is an expert in robotic epilepsy surgery.
