About DR. ALEX JAHANGIRVAND

Here's The Deal: Dr. Alex Jahangirvand is a well-known neurologist in Barrie, ON. He finished his neurology residency training at the University of Saskatchewan College of Medicine in 2014. He received the Medical Class of 1939 Resident Teacher Award in Medicine and the Clinical Resident of the Year Award. He received the Rajput Neurology Research Award three times during his residency. He then did a Neuromuscular Medicine and Electromyography (EMG) Fellowship at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Jahangirvand also received a specialty certification (FRCPC) from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He obtained his Diplomate in EMG from the Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiologists. Dr. Jahangirvand is the District Medical Lead at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) and Simcoe Stroke Program. He has a clinical interest in neuromuscular medicine, including nerve compression or injury (such as carpal tunnel syndrome), nerve root injury (such as sciatica), and other muscle or nerve problems.
