Dr. Camie L Nitzel earned undergraduate degrees in psychology and sociology/anthropology from Nebraska Wesleyan University. She completed her M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Counseling Psychology program (APA-accredited). Dr. Camie L Nitzel has expert knowledge in counseling related to depression and anxiety management, gender identity and transgender health, sexual identity development, trauma recovery, and resilience. She offers WPATH-aligned assessments for hormone and surgical evaluations for transgender and gender-diverse individuals. Camie Nitzel approaches her clients with authenticity, warmth, depth, and insight. She utilizes evidence-based therapies such as feminist-relational, interpersonal process, psychodynamic, as well as incorporating CBT, ACT, and DBT when warranted.
