About DR. CIAN O'KELLY

Meet Dr. Cian O'Kelly, an accomplished academic neurosurgeon at the University of Alberta. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Alberta in 2001, followed by neurosurgical residency at the University of Toronto. Dr. O'Kelly also holds a master's degree in clinical epidemiology. Specializing in cerebrovascular and skull base surgeries along with endovascular interventions, he is notable for his research in subarachnoid hemorrhage epidemiology, aneurysm, and AVM treatments. Dr. O'Kelly holds various leadership roles, such as Neurosurgery Site Lead at the University of Alberta Hospital and Chair of the Competency Committee for the neurosurgery residency program. Additionally, he serves on the examination committee at the Royal College and is the National Director of the Canadian Neurosurgery Rookie Camp.
