Meet Dr. David Grout, a highly skilled cardiologist with extensive experience. Having completed his medical studies at the University of Sydney, he pursued further training in cardiology in Southampton, UK, and at the Royal Perth Hospital. Dr. Grout has worked in various settings in Sydney, including his private practice on the northern beaches. His expertise lies in coronary angiography and interventional cardiology. Renowned for performing Sydney's first coronary angioplasty, he was among the early pioneers in Australia to offer this procedure as an alternative to coronary artery bypass surgery. Dr. Grout also played a pivotal role in establishing Sydney Heart Image, where he implemented Australia's first multi-slice high-speed gated coronary and cardiac CT scanner for advanced coronary artery disease diagnosis. Currently, Dr. Grout practices at Base Hospital Bundaberg and Friendly Society Private Hospital Bundaberg.
