About DR. DUONG NGUYEN
Meet Dr. Duong Nguyen, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist trained at the University of Western Ontario, one of Canada's top orthopedic surgical programs. Dr. Nguyen specializes in shoulder, elbow, and joint arthroscopic and reconstructive surgeries, with a focus on anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears and ACL reconstructions. He educates orthopedic surgeons in training from the University of Toronto and primary care/sports medicine physicians from McMaster University. Additionally, Dr. Nguyen is a certified instructor for Advanced Trauma Life Support at St. Michael's Hospital and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. He serves as a sports medicine consultant for regional and national athletic organizations and was recently honored with the J.C. Kennedy Award for Excellence in Sports Medicine Research by the Sports Medicine Section of the Ontario Medical Association.
