Dr. Sengottuvelu further honed his expertise through a fellowship in France, working alongside the renowned Dr. Marie Claude Morice. As an accomplished leader in complex PCI & stenting and structural heart interventions, including percutaneous heart valve replacement & repair, Dr. G. Sengottuvelu is a distinguished interventional cardiologist and a key opinion leader in India on valve interventions and complex stenting. He specialises in adult coronary and structural interventions and is recognised for his pioneering work in structural heart valve interventions and complex coronary stenting. Notably, he conducted the first successful transcatheter aortic valve replacement for aortic valve stenosis in Tamil Nadu. Dr. Sengottuvelu's contributions extend to the academic realm, with authorship of chapters in various textbooks and over 300 abstracts and case studies presented at conferences worldwide. His scientific reputation is highly regarded among his peers in the Asia Pacific region.
