About DR. GARNETTE SUTHERLAND
Meet Dr. Garnette Sutherland, a top neurosurgeon based in Calgary, Alberta. Dr. Sutherland earned his science and medical degrees from the University of Manitoba before completing his Neurosurgery residency at the University of Western Ontario. He has served as an Assistant Professor of Surgery and Pharmacology at the University of Manitoba, moving up to Associate Professor in 1988. Dr. Sutherland assumed the role of Professor and Head of Neurosurgery at the Department of Clinical Neurosciences in 1993. His primary research interest lies in applying MR techniques to study neurological diseases. Additionally, Dr. Sutherland is the Founding Director of the Seaman Family MR Research Centre. In recognition of his significant contributions to neurosurgery, he was honored with the Order of Canada in 2012.
