About DR JOHN LIMBERS
Dr John Limbers graduated with First Class Honours from the University of New South Wales before honing his surgical skills at Addenbrooke’s University Hospital and Cappagh National Orthopaedic Hospital. He specializes in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery and is a member of The Arthroplasty Society of Australia, the Australian Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, and the Australian Medical Association. Dr Limbers has performed over 3,000 hip and knee replacement surgeries, including more than 1,500 robotically assisted joint replacements. He emphasizes patient comfort and swift recovery by utilizing advanced techniques like muscle-sparing subcastes in total knee replacement procedures and implementing multi-modal pain relief methods. Dr Limbers opts for a lateral incision for his total knee replacements to minimize scarring and numbness, ensuring patients can kneel comfortably post-surgery. His expertise also extends to reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, orthopaedic trauma management, and secondary reconstructions.
