About DR KARAN RAO
Meet Dr. Karan Rao, an experienced adult cardiologist specializing in interventions and structural heart conditions. He offers comprehensive adult cardiology services, including care for coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, heart rhythm disorders, heart failure, cardiovascular imaging, and preventive cardiology. Dr. Rao practices evidence-based and holistic medicine, providing personalized consultations with compassion. He graduated with Distinction from the University of New South Wales in 2014 and furthered his education with a Master's in Public Health in 2015. His advanced cardiology training at Westmead Hospital led to his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2022. Dr. Rao is currently an interventional research fellow at Royal North Shore Hospital and is pursuing a PhD at the University of Sydney, focusing on structural and interventional cardiology. He has received accolades such as the NHMRC Postgraduate PhD Scholarship and the Heart Research Australia PhD grant. Fluent in English, Hindi, and Gujarati, Dr. Rao is also actively involved in medical education.
