Dr. Keki Edulji Turel is a consultant neurosurgeon at Bombay Hospital with over 47 years of experience. He pioneered micro neurosurgery in India in 1979. Dr. Turel received his medical education and an M.S. in neurosurgery from the University of Bombay. Dr. Keki Edulji Turel has completed over seven fellowships, including FICS, FAANaOS, FABCNS, FAIS, FICG, FRCS, FACS, and FIMSA. Dr. Keki Edulji Turel specialises in stereotactic surgery, micro neurosurgery, microvascular surgery, skull base surgery, and treatment of intramedullary spinal cord tumours. Dr. Keki Edulji Turel is licensed by the Maharashtra Medical Council and is a member of several medical associations, including the Neurological Society of India, the Indian Medical Association, the Epilepsy Association of India, and the Association of Surgeons of India. He won the First Prize in both academic and non-academic categories at the Photography Competition during the 12th World Congress of Neurosurgery in Sydney (September 16-20, 2001). He also received the First Prize in both categories of the Clicon Contest at the 50th Annual Conference of the Neurological Society of India in Mumbai (December 15-18, 2001).
