About DR. LYNNE STEELE
Dr. Lynne Steele, a medical professional with an extensive background, graduated from the University of Glasgow Medical School in 1995. Initially practicing as an emergency medicine registrar, she later focused on psychiatry. She pursued specialized training in the UK and became a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2002. She completed her advanced specialty training in General Adult Psychiatry and Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry in 2006. Besides being a mental health academic coordinator at the University of Queensland β Rural Division from 2007 to 2010, Dr. Steele has training in various therapeutic approaches such as psychodynamic psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Analytical Therapy, and EMDR. She is also skilled in administering Electro Convulsive Therapy (ECT) and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). Currently, she serves as the Clinical Director at Archerview Mental Health Unit, overseeing a 23-bed low acuity inpatient ward and day patient psychotherapy programs at Hillcrest Hospital Rockhampton.
