Meet Dr. Lysa Boissé Lomax, a well-established neurologist based in Kingston, ON. Dr. Lomax holds a medical and MSc degrees from the University of Calgary and completed her Neurology residency at Queen’s University. She furthered her expertise through prestigious fellowships - the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Detweiler Travelling Fellowship and the Cecil Patience Reid Fellowship in epilepsy and genetics at the University of Melbourne in Australia, under the guidance of Professors Sam Berkovic and Ingrid Scheffer. Dr. Lomax also underwent specialized training in Sleep Medicine and is certified in EEG readings (CSCN diplomate) and polysomnography.Active in the field, Dr. Lomax has contributed to national boards shaping guidelines for epilepsy genetic testing and gene panel repatriation in Ontario. Her areas of focus include epilepsy syndromes, epilepsy genetics, and specific interests in North Sea myoclonus epilepsy and cardiac arrhythmia in epilepsy.
