About DR. MELANIE O'NEILL
Introducing Dr. Melanie O'Neill, a respected psychologist based in Nanaimo, BC. She holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Drexel University (formerly MCP Hahnemann University) in Philadelphia, PA. Following her doctoral studies, Dr. O'Neill completed a post-doctoral position at the University of British Columbia, focusing on specialized therapies for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. With over 11 years of experience, she has taught university courses in clinical psychology, psychopathology, introductory psychology, and research methods. Dr. O'Neill specializes in providing personal injury assessments and treatment for various professionals, including injured workers, first responders, law enforcement personnel, Canadian Forces members, and veterans. She is also a respected reviewer for scholarly journals focusing on anxiety and related disorders. Certified as a CBT therapist by the Canadian Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies, Dr. O'Neill remains actively involved in publishing scholarly articles on topics such as Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. She currently practices part-time at Campbell & Fairweather Psychology Group.
