About DR NICK VERTZYAS

Dr. Nick Vertzyas is an Orthopaedic Surgeon in Sydney specializing in Knee and Hip Joint Replacement. He completed his qualifications as a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in Orthopaedic Surgery (FRACS) in 2003 after earning his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of New South Wales in 1992. In 2006, he became a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association after finishing his advanced training in orthopaedic surgery in Sydney. Dr. Nick focuses on knee and hip joint replacement, excelling in procedures such as hip and knee arthroplasty using advanced arthroscopic techniques and minimally invasive open surgical approaches for various joint conditions and injuries. He was the first to perform a robotic-assisted Persona Knee Replacement on the Zimmer Biomet Knee platform. Dr. Nick also completed an Australian Orthopaedic Association International Research Fellowship at Harvard University in Boston after achieving fellowship status with the Royal Australian College of Surgeons.
