About DR. SEAN CHRISTIE
Here's The Deal: Dr. Sean Christie is a neurosurgeon and clinician scientist who graduated from Dalhousie University Faculty of Medicine in 1996. He then completed his neurosurgery residency at the same university. He also completed neurosurgery and spinal surgery fellowships at the University of Chicago. He has developed secondary injury mechanisms following spinal cord injury and investigated potential treatment strategies that translated into clinical applications. Dr. Christie is actively involved in clinical and health systems research to improve care delivery to spine surgery patients. He is certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Christie addresses all questions of patients with clear, easy-to-understand explanations. He also works as a professor, vice chair, and director of research in the Division of Neurosurgery at Dalhousie University. He has authored many publications related to his field.
