He underwent a transitional internship at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego and served as an Undersea Medical Officer in the US Navy for four years in Groton, CT. Subsequently, he completed his residency training in dermatology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.Dr. Hanson is specialized in Mohs Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery and is certified by the American Board of Dermatology.
