About ERIK HEDLUND

Dr. Erik Hedlund is one of the leading orthopedic surgeons in Grand Rapids, MI. He received his medical degree from the Midwestern University, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, in 1998 and completed his residency at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center in 2003. Dr. Erik Hedlund completed his Sports medicine, shoulder and knee reconstruction fellowship at the Michigan State University, Department of Orthopedics/Sports Medicine in 2004. He is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and has over 24 years of experience. He has particular interests in specializing in sports medicine, shoulder and knee reconstruction, athletic injuries, and minimally invasive surgery, including arthroscopy of the shoulder, knee, and hip. He provides rehabilitative and diagnostic services under the umbrella of one practice. Dr. Erik's medical excellence helps his patients return quickly to their active lifestyles. He is the medical consultant for several local professionals and collegiate and high school sports teams. He practices at Orthopaedic Associates of Michigan and serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgical Specialties at Michigan State University's College of Osteopathic Medicine.
