About GAREN ABEDI

Meet Dr. Garen Abedi, a general urologist and endourologist with expertise in kidney stone treatment and minimally invasive urologic surgery. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from UC Irvine, graduating with high honors. Following this, he advanced to UC Irvine School of Medicine and was a distinguished member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Abedi completed his residency in general and urologic surgery at UC Irvine Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident in urologic surgery from 2019 to 2020. His areas of focus include stone surgery, metabolic stone prevention, and robotic urologic procedures.Noteworthy achievements include receiving the Filde's Award during his urology residency for excellence in patient care. Dr. Abedi further honed his skills through a fellowship in endourology and robotic surgery at UC San Diego and Kaiser San Diego Medical Centers. Dedicated to advancing urologic knowledge, he has authored multiple publications and presented at various national urologic conferences. He also participated in a medical mission to Africa with the International Volunteers in Urology (IVUmed) during his residency.
