About GARY J. BRENNER

Meet Dr. Gary J. Brenner, a highly skilled pain medicine specialist with specialized training in the field. He obtained his MD from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and completed his anesthesiology residency and pain medicine fellowship at the renowned Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Gary holds the position of associate professor of anesthesia at Harvard Medical School and is currently practicing at the Massachusetts General Hospital Pain Management Center. In addition to serving as the Director of the Mass General Pain Medicine Fellowship, he specializes in the treatment of chronic pain, cancer-related pain, and spinal degeneration. Dr. Gary's research focus lies in developing animal models and gene therapy for neurofibromatoses. With numerous national leadership roles in pain medicine education and training, he has authored a significant body of work on topics such as gene therapy strategies for NF tumors, pain pathophysiology, pain mechanisms, immune function, and clinical management of chronic pain.
