About ILYA VOLOSHIN

Meet Dr. Ilya Voloshin: an acclaimed orthopedic surgeon based in Rochester, NY. He earned his medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School in 1998 before completing his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center in 2003, followed by a fellowship at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in 2004. Dr. Ilya is board-certified in sports medicine and orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, boasting over 25 years of experience. He specializes in complex shoulder reconstruction, shoulder arthritis, chronic shoulder issues, and arthroscopic shoulder surgery. Currently serving as Chief of the Shoulder Division at the University of Rochester, Dr. Ilya oversees shoulder care and education within the Department of Orthopaedics. Additionally, he conducts research at The Center for Musculoskeletal Research, a premier orthopedic research lab at Rochester University consisting of nearly 70 researchers. Dr. Ilya has a strong publication record and has developed innovative devices for shoulder conditions and surgeries.
