About JOSE POSAS

Meet Dr. Jose Posas, a neurologist and the director of the Ochsner Neurology Residency Program based in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Posas earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, LA, followed by his residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL, and fellowship at Kerlan Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Los Angeles, CA. He is actively involved in the American Academy of Neurology, serving as the chair of the innovation hub and participating in various committees and education councils. Dr. Posas has a special focus on post-traumatic headaches and optimizing cognitive function. In his practice, he conducts concussion evaluations, nerve blocks using ultrasound guidance, Botox treatments for migraines, and cryo-neurolysis for occipital neuralgia, along with other specialized procedures.
