About KATHLEEN LEONE
Dr. Kathleen C. Leone, MD, FACS, is a board-certified LASIK and cataract surgeon who has been serving patients in Wilmington since 1998. She graduated with honors from Georgetown University School of Medicine and has more than 20 years of experience. Dr. Leone specializes in bladeless cataract surgery using advanced intraocular lens technology. She was the first surgeon in Wilmington to be certified in this technique and performed the first surgery of its kind in September 2013. Dr. Leone's goal is to improve patients' vision through cataract surgery and offers cutting-edge intraocular lens implants to minimize the need for glasses and contacts. She performs LASIK at The LASIK Center of Wilmington Eye and conducts cataract and refractive surgeries at the state-of-the-art Wilmington Eye Surgery Center, an ambulatory surgery center.
