About KELLY J. SCRANTZ

Meet Dr. Kelly J. Scrantz, a highly respected neurosurgeon at The NeuroMedical Center since 2006, where he currently holds the positions of President and Chairman of the Board of Directors. Dr. Scrantz earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center and completed his residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He further specialized in neurosurgery through fellowships in minimally invasive spinal surgery, complex skull-based brain tumors, and is a founding member of the Neuro Multidisciplinary Care (MDC) team at Mary Bird Perkins-OLOL Cancer Center. Apart from his clinical practice, he serves as an Assistant Professor at the LSU Department of Otolaryngology. Dr. Scrantz's expertise lies in areas like laser procedures, skull base and complex brain tumor surgeries, minimally invasive spinal surgeries, as well as treatments for carpal tunnel, ulnar nerve, and acoustic neuromas. He is an active member of various professional organizations such as the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the American Medical Student Association, and the Louisiana Neurosurgical Society.
