About KIRK KINDSFATER

Dr. Kirk Kindsfater is one of the highly experienced orthopedic surgeons in Fort Collins, CO. He received his medical degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, Denver, in 1989. He completed his internship and residency training at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He completed his fellowship (advanced) training in joint replacement surgery at Harvard School of Medicine and Brigham & Women’s Hospital. He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and has over 34 years of experience. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. Dr. Kindsfater is also actively involved in new technologies and medical research on implant design. Over the past 15 years, he has been an invited faculty member at didactic orthopedic courses on more than 60 occasions. Dr. Kindsfater offers the latest orthopedic implants, technology, and surgical techniques for hip replacement patients. He has performed over 25,000 knee and hip replacement surgeries & more than 1,300 joint replacements. Dr. Kindsfater currently performs 900 knee replacement surgeries and 450 hip replacement surgeries yearly. He has been involved in 17 clinical research projects and clinical studies. He has also lectured internationally, including educational presentations. He practices at the Orthopaedic & Spine Center of the Rockies.
