Dr. Mario Berkowitz is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon in Pembroke Pines, Florida. He received his medical degree from the Central University of Venezuela, Luiz Razetti School of Medicine, Caracas, Venezuela, and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York. Dr. Mario Berkowitz completed his sports medicine fellowship at Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Center, Staten Island, NY. He has over 33 years of experience. His special interest is in sports medicine, trauma, and elbow, hip, shoulder, knee, ankle, and adult reconstruction surgeries. He has delivered over 300 PRP injections both in the office and in the operating room. Dr. Mario Berkowitz believes in a comprehensive approach, not prioritizing surgeries initially.
