About MARK HENLEY
Mr Mark Henley is a distinguished Consultant specialising in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery based in Derby. He earned his MB ChB degree from the University of Birmingham Medical School, marking the commencement of his medical journey. Mr Henley has been an integral part of the Nottingham and Derby NHS Hospitals Plastic Surgery teams since 1994, showcasing his longstanding commitment to healthcare. Throughout his career, Mr Henley has achieved significant milestones, including being honoured with the James Laing Memorial Prize by the British Burn Association during his training. He expanded his knowledge and expertise through a Light-Millard Fellowship at the University of Miami. He availed himself of the opportunity to visit distinguished plastic surgery centres in Europe, thanks to the support of a Wellington Foundation Scholarship. His specialisation encompasses aesthetic surgery and cleft lip and palate surgery, where he plays a pivotal role as a senior specialist in the Trent Regional Cleft Lip and Palate Surgery Service. Over the last two decades, Mr Henley has established and advanced this service. For the past nine years, Mr Mark Henley has been at the forefront of establishing an influential speciality-based joint indemnity program for plastic surgeons called PRASIS. This initiative aims to promote improvements in inpatient treatment and elevate the quality of surgical practice.
