About MATTHEW EIDEM

Dr. Matthew Eidem is a double board-certified Gastroenterologist and Internal Medicine physician. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship at the UT Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. He has been practicing in Plano, TX, since 2007. He brings more than 17 years of sympathetic and creative digestive care to Plano's surroundings. His practice provides preventative care and diagnostic procedures for existing GI conditions. Dr. Eidem specializes in the prevention and diagnosis of colon cancer. To help increase colon cancer screening participation rates in DFW, he offers an Open Access scheduling option for a screening colonoscopy. This allows patients to schedule without an office visit before their colonoscopy. He has performed over 10,000 colonoscopy procedures. His practice philosophy is that excellent medical care involves prompt and compassionate service and active and ongoing patient education throughout the evaluation and treatment process. Dr. Eidem finds that patient satisfaction is highest when patients can effectively participate in healthcare decisions.
