About MAYER J. HASBANI

Dr. Mayer J. Hasbani is one of the best neurologists with over 22 years of experience in the field of medicine. He is currently an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Neurology. He completed his undergraduate education at Johns Hopkins University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. Later, he attended Washington University School of Medicine from 1994 through 2001, where he received a Doctor of Medicine and a Ph.D. degree in the neuroscience department. His research interest was focused on the recovery of structure and function after an ischemic stroke. After this, he completed a residency in 2005 in Neurology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He then completed a fellowship year at Yale New Haven Hospital in Clinical Neurophysiology with an interest in neuromuscular conditions and epilepsy. Dr. Mayer is currently in a group practice composed of two neurologists, with offices in New Haven and Branford. It is a general neurology practice that involves a wide range of neurological conditions.
