About MICHAEL EDWARD IVAN
Dr. Michael Edward Ivan is one of the leading neurosurgeons in Miami, FL. He graduated from UMDNJ New Jersey Medical School in 2008. He finished his General Surgery internship and Neurological Surgery residency at the UCSF Department of Neurological Surgery. He also earned his Surgical Oncology Residency at UM-JMH Surgical Oncology Fellowship Program in 2015. Dr. Michael has a particular interest in cranial neurosurgery practices, which include surgery and radiosurgery (gamma knife) on skull base tumors, secondary brain tumors (metastatic), meningiomas, pituitary tumors, primary brain tumors (glioblastoma, gliomas), acoustic neuromas, and epileptogenic lesions of the brain. Dr. Michael Edward also specializes in minimally invasive surgery, such as minimal port access surgery, Laser Interstitial Thermal Therapy (LITT), and endoscopic neurosurgery. He is an Associate Professor of Neurosurgery and Chief of Service, Cranial and Neuro-oncology at Jackson South Community Hospital. He is also a Co-chair of Neurosurgery at Jackson South Community Hospital and Director of Research at the University of Miami Brain Tumor Initiative.
