About MUTHU VELUSAMY

Dr. Muthu Velusamy is one of the best cardiovascular disease specialists at the Cardiovascular Institute of America, which has two offices in Tampa and Lutz, Florida. He is board-certified in cardiovascular diseases, cardiology, and vascular medicine. After earning his Doctor of Medicine at Stanley Medical College in Chennai, Dr. Velusamy finished postgraduate medical training in general medicine at the National Health Services Hospital in the United Kingdom. He then relocated to the United States & completed his internal medicine residency & his cardiovascular disease fellowship program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Dr. Velusamy achieved a nuclear cardiology fellowship at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut & then an interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Connecticut in Mansfield, Connecticut, to further his skill set. He dedicated himself to learning and delivering the best possible care; Dr. Velusamy completed a mini vascular fellowship at the Prairie Heart Institute in Springfield, Illinois, and a clinical preceptorship at the Rane Center for Venous & Lymphatic Disease in Jackson, Mississippi. Dr. Velusamy is a fellow of the American College of Cardiologists and a Vascular Diplomate of the American Board of Vascular Medicine. He is also a member of the Royal College of Physicians of England-MRCP (UK) and Ireland (MRCPI). Dr. Velusamy is a detail-oriented physician who takes a patient-centered technique to care.
