About NIKOLAOS PYRSOPOULOS

Dr. Nikolaos Pyrsopoulos is one of the best gastroenterologists in Newark. He is board-certified in gastroenterology, internal medicine, and transplant hepatology. He completed his medical degrees (MD and PhD) at the University of Athens in Greece. Dr. Nikolaos specializes in diagnosing and treating various digestive tract disorders, such as stomach pain, reflux, constipation, and Crohn's disease. He has special interests in intestinal and multi-visceral transplantation. Dr. Nikolaos has served on numerous national and institutional committees. He currently serves as Professor of Medicine and Chief of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at New Jersey Medical School. He is a member of various medical associations such as the American Association of the Study of Liver diseases among others. He is fluent in French and Greek. Dr. Nikolaos is also the medical director of liver transplantation at the University Hospital. His mission is to deliver exceptional patient care, provide excellent education to fellows, residents, and students, and advance medical knowledge through research. His publications include various scientific journals, including the Journal of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Transplantation.
