Dr. Nitin Tandon is a renowned board-certified neurosurgeon based in Houston, Texas. With a degree from Armed Forces Medical College in Pune, India, Dr. Tandon completed his internship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and his residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Known for his extensive expertise, Dr. Tandon directs the Epilepsy Surgery Program and has a strong focus on research areas like Intra-cranial electrophysiology, Brain mapping with functional MRI, electrical stimulation, and diffusion tractography.Throughout his career, Dr. Tandon has successfully performed over 3000 cranial operations, including 1200 for brain tumors and 700 for epilepsy treatment. Noteworthy is his experience with over 200 craniotomies on awake patients, emphasizing his commitment to preserving eloquent brain regions through meticulous mapping procedures.
