About ROBERT J. APPLEGATE
Meet Dr. Robert J. Applegate, a renowned cardiologist based in Winston-Salem. He is board-certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Applegate obtained his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1980. Following this, he completed his internship and residency at Oregon Health Science University School. He pursued his fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Dr. Applegate's areas of expertise include Sudden Cardiac Death, Unstable Angina, and Anomalous Coronary Artery. He is a member of prestigious medical organizations such as the American Federation of Clinical Research, Forsyth-Davie-Stokes Medical Society, Aha-Council On Cardiology, and the American College of Cardiology. Besides his clinical practice, Dr. Applegate has authored numerous research articles. He is associated with Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
