About ROBERT R BYRNE

Dr. Robert R Byrn graduated with high honors from Baylor College of Medicine, where he was elected as a junior member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his internship and residency in the Division of Urology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina, where he received the Schering Academic Achievement Award for three consecutive years. He has presented his research at several professional meetings and published articles in professional journals and textbooks. He is a urologist certified by the board and provides care to both children and adults. He has actively participated in the medical staff of Athens Regional Medical Center and St Mary's Hospital. He has been Chair of the Department of Surgery at St Mary's, and has been the Secretary of the medical staff at St Mary's. He is an active member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church and has served on the Vestry. Dr. Byrn is affiliated with medical facilities such as Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center and Saint Mary's Hospital. He welcomes new patients and provides telehealth appointments.
