About RUFUS C. DAVIS

Dr. Rufus C. Davis is one of the experienced gastroenterologists in Richmond, VA. He finished his Bachelor of Arts from Yale University and his M.D. at the University of Virginia in 1990. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship from Vanderbilt in 1996. He was the chief of the GI section at the University of Tennessee Baptist Hospital and worked as an adjunct clinical instructor in the division of gastroenterology at Vanderbilt. In 2000, he moved to Richmond and joined GSI. He has a loyal group of patients on the Southside of Richmond and at Retreat on the Northside. Dr. Rufus is affiliated with Gastrointestinal Specialists, which provides endoscopy procedures such as upper GI endoscopies and colonoscopies. They also offer pathology at their pathology laboratory.
