Meet Dr. Russ Van Norman, a top eye doctor based in Shreveport, LA. With a medical degree earned in 1998, Dr. Van Norman completed his internship and ophthalmology residency at LSUHSC before pursuing a two-year fellowship in Cornea/External Disease and Refractive Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern. A member of several prestigious medical associations, including the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Dr. Van Norman has a wealth of experience, having conducted over 20,000 ophthalmic procedures. These procedures range from cataract removal and laser cataract surgery to LASIK and glaucoma surgeries. Currently, he practices at Shreveport Eye Specialists and formerly served as the Medical Director of the Northwest Louisiana Lions Eye Bank.
