About SHAN ABBAS

Dr. Shan Abbas is a board-certified clinical neurologist and fellowship-trained epileptologist at Spectrum Health. He received his MD from DOW University of Health Sciences. He completed a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology (EEG/epilepsy) at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, ranked among the top programs in the country. He finished his Residency and Internship at the University of Toledo. Dr. Shan's clinical interests include the medical and surgical options for treating epilepsy, the use of medical devices in the management of epilepsy, and the management of psychogenic non-epileptic seizures. He also maintains a special interest in understanding the bio-psycho-social implications of seizure disorders. He is interested in understanding the bio-psycho-social implications of seizure disorders.
