Meet Dr. Sharon I. Turban, a renowned nephrologist graduated with an MD from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine in 1997. She completed her nephrology fellowships at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2007, and now serves as an assistant professor of medicine at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Turban specializes in nephrology and polycystic kidney disease. Her clinical research focuses on blood pressure regulation and kidney disease prevention, with a particular interest in the impact of sodium and potassium on these areas. Dr. Turban led the American Heart Association-funded Chronic Kidney Disease-Potassium (CKD-K) clinical trial.
