Dr. Steve Althoff is one of the leading pediatricians in Reno, NV, boasting an impressive track record of over 29 years in the medical field. After graduating from Jacksonville High School and pursuing undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois, Dr. Althoff achieved notable distinctions, including publishing his Undergraduate Honors Thesis in Biophysics. He then entered the Medical Scholars Program at the University of Illinois, obtaining both a Medical Degree and a PhD in Biochemistry in 1996. His dedication to advancing medical knowledge is evident through the publication of his thesis in various peer-reviewed journals. Furthering his expertise, Dr. Althoff completed a pediatric residency at the renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Since 2001, he has been providing exceptional patient care at Pediatrics Associates. Affiliated with Renown Regional Medical Center and Saint Mary's Reno Regional Medical Center, Dr. Althoff served as the Chair of Pediatrics at Renown, the Interim Chair of the Renown Children’s Hospital, and the Chief of Staff at Renown Regional Medical Center for several years.
