About STEVEN G. SPELLMAN

Dr. Steven G. Spellman holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin and earned his Doctorate in Medicine from the State University of New York-Downstate Medical Center in 1982. He completed an Internal Medicine internship at Staten Island Hospital and an Ophthalmology residency at Nassau County Medical Center. Dr. Spellman became board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology in 1987. His areas of expertise include the treatment of cataracts, glaucoma, and corneal disease, as well as performing plastic surgery for eyelids, strabismus correction, and laser surgery for diabetic retinal disease. Dr. Spellman currently practices at Riverside, offering comprehensive eye care services.
