He holds a degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and completed his residency at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center. Furthermore, he pursued a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy at the New England Baptist Hospital, Boston, MA. Dr. Battaglia specializes in arthroscopic and reconstructive procedures for the shoulder and knee, including treating rotator cuff issues, instability problems, ligament injuries, cartilage problems, and meniscal injuries. He is also highly skilled in meniscus and articular cartilage transplant procedures and cartilage regrowth techniques.
