Meet Dr. Wassim H. Shaheen, a caring interventional cardiologist with 27 years of experience in cardiology. Board-certified in both cardiology and interventional cardiology, Dr. Shaheen earned his MD from the American University of Beirut. He completed his residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine and fellowship at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. Dr. Shaheen serves as the director of cardiac rehabilitation at Via Christi, and as the medical director of the cardiac catheterization labs at Wesley Medical Center and the VA hospitals.
